Meet Your Guide
My Name is Jeff Donahue, I was born and raised in the state of Maine and have been fishing for as long as I can remember. From the age of 4, when I caught my first fish which happened to be a rather large Smallmouth Bass, I have been absolutely obsessed with fishing. It was only a dream of mine from a young age that I would be able to develop a passion of mine into a career. I am now in my 30’s and I have spent much of my life chasing these creatures in all corners of my home state, and all over the country. I have gotten numerous people and dear friends of mine on their first fish and nothing brings me more joy than to share my passion with others. The look on someone’s face when they hook into a fish for the first time never gets old!
I spent much of my early years spin casting to various species with my father, who was the first one to put a rod in my hand. In 2016, a good friend of mine put a fly rod in my hands for the first time. I will never forget the excitement I had watching a wild brook trout rise to my dry fly, and feeling the fish on the other end of my line. Fly fishing is my main priority now, although I do occasionally spin cast now and then and I spend the entirety of my winters on the hard water chasing trophy fish through the ice. I also enjoy hunting, snowboarding, rock climbing, snowmobiling, exploring in the mountains, and I am a frequent visitor of the North Maine Woods. My wife accompanies me on nearly all of my adventures as well as my two Australian Shepherds Tippet, and Hatch.
As your guide it is my goal to provide you with a safe, enjoyable time relaxing in Maine’s pristine environment. I do my very best each and every day to make sure you enjoy your time out on the water and make memories that will last a lifetime, no matter if you are a beginner or a seasoned angler.
