Experience all that Maine’s fisheries have to offer. With over 20+ year’s experience fishing for various species around the state of Maine, I can provide you with all the gear and knowledge to have a memorable day on the water. To book a trip reach out to me via text or call at the phone number provided in my contact info, or fill out the form on the contact page. Out of respect for my clients I do not answer the phone while on a trip. So if I do not answer, please leave a voicemail. I will make sure to respond promptly and do my best to schedule you for the date you specify. During peak season my schedule may fill up fast, so while it is worth contacting me for short notice trips, it is highly encouraged that you reach out well in advance if you have a specific date you would like to book.

Most of my open water trips are done from my inflatable drift boat on various rivers and lakes throughout the Southern and Western portion of the state, primarily the Saco River region, targeting smallmouth bass. These hard fighting fish are super fun to target on the fly or with conventional spin gear. They often provide non-stop action and quite regularly we can have double digit days targeting these fish on secluded sections of river that do not see much traffic. This makes for a fantastic outing whether you are just a beginner and have never caught a fish on the fly or with a spin rod, or if you are a seasoned angler just looking to put numerous amounts of fish in the net. I can’t stress enough how this is the perfect opportunity for someone that has never touched a fly rod but is curious about the pursuit! Even though we normally target smallmouth, we often by-catch many trout in the very same sections of river that we target bass depending on the time of year and water flows and temperatures. Some of these fish can be held over in the river from previous years and can get quite large, so you should be ready for anything! Though that is my specialty, if you have a specific species, body of water, or area of the state you’d like to target please reach out and we can talk further about what it is you would like to do.

During the winter months the bigger bodies of water freeze up and the opportunity is endless. I can guide brook, brown, lake, and rainbow trout, landlocked salmon, splake, as well as warm water species such as northern pike, bass, pickerel, and panfish. Basically any fish that inhabits Maine is possible to target depending on ice conditions on the numerous lakes I have experience on. If there is any specific trip you have in mind don’t hesitate to ask. Most, if not all of my trips will be conducted from the comfort of a heated pop-up ice shelter ensuring that my guests stay as comfortable as possible even on the coldest days of the winter.

Due to Maine’s fishing regulations, every angler over the age of 16 is required to have a fishing license. Please make sure you have purchased your license ahead of time so we can get right to fishing when you arrive and don’t waste valuable time on the water. Full season and single day licenses can be purchased from Maine IFW here. As a Registered Guide in the State of Maine it is important that I, and all of my clients follow all laws and regulations within the state. With my knowledge of all local regulations I will be sure that everyone on the trip is doing everything within accordance of Maine state law.

Also, if you have booked a trip with me please remember to fill out the client form and waiver ahead of time linked here. Please remember to note any important dietary restrictions (if you are booking a full day trip with a provided lunch) and any important medical conditions that I should be aware of in the event of an emergency. I do my best to accommodate anyone regardless of any condition, however making your guide aware of any important medical conditions or allergies increases the safety of everyone on the trip.
